HireEZ — Monthly Newsletter
HireEZ is a software company focusing on outbound talent acquisition services for recruiters. During the winter of 2024, senior leadership wanted to redesign the company's homepage for a fresh look in anticipation of new product features being highlighted.
Overall Strategy
Using dark navy base with bright cyan/blue accents immediately signals "tech-forward" and sets it apart from the sea of white-background SaaS competitors. With the benefit of making the product screenshots pop since they're light-colored UI on a dark canvas.
Hero section
Bold, stacked headline ("The Only CRM Built For Recruiters By Recruiters") establishes category ownership fast. The dashboard mockup and candidate photo overlapping does double duty, showing the product while humanizing it with a real face, which matters for recruiting software where the emotional pitch is "these are people, not just data rows."
Trust bar
Logo wall right after the fold (Lyft, Walmart, Kaiser, Wayfair) is classic social proof placement, positioned before you've asked the visitor to do anything, lowering skepticism early.
Problem/agitation section
The floating quote bubbles ("Our CRM felt too big for us...") appear before the solution pitch, a good sequencing choice: competitor pain points first, then HireEZ's answer ("Legacy CRMs are not built for today's recruiters"). Classic before/after narrative structure.
Feature breakdown
Left-aligned text list (Right Candidates/Message/Data) paired with a single right-side product screenshot is the standard "features as a story" pattern, so each capability gets an editorial-style callout rather than three generic icon boxes.
Human photography
The candid recruiter-at-desk photo breaks up UI-screenshot fatigue and reinforces "built by/for real recruiters," serving as an emotional beat between two data-heavy sections.
Concentric arcs graphic
The swooping line illustration for the 3-point feature list adds motion and visual interest symbolizing a funnel model for the talent acquisition process.
Testimonials
Circular avatars paired with pill-shaped keyword tags (Simplified, Cost-Effective, Supportive) under quotes act as a clever compression technique, letting a scanning visitor absorb the takeaway without reading every quote.
Awards row
Laurel/badge icons flanking "dedicated to your success" serve as standard trust-building, placed late as reinforcement rather than lead.
Closing CTA
Bright blue banner breaks the dark theme right before the footer, a deliberate contrast choice that makes the final ask visually unmissable.
