Lure Intimates — Social Ads

Lure Intimates was a local boutique based in Nashville, Tennessee by a small business owner wanting to enter the fashion industry. I assisted as a freelance designer to help grow her brand presence before Valentines Day in 2021. Her business being in the lingerie industry this was a prime time to boost her orders as much as possible.

Concept: "The Shapes of Desire"

The core idea was to use hard-edged geometric framing (triangles, diamonds) as a visual counterpoint to the softness of the product and photography. Lingerie brands often lean fully into softness, blur, and romance, which makes feeds start to blend together. Introducing sharp, architectural line work gave the brand a distinct visual signature that reads as more editorial and less generic boudoir.

Consistent structural system
Every post uses the same bones: a circular or diamond photo crop, an outlined triangle or diamond overlaying the frame, and the wordmark anchored top left with location beneath it for local credibility. That repetition matters more on a feed than any single post. Someone scrolling should recognize a Lure post before they even read the copy, purely from the shape language and negative space.

Color as mood signaling
Each post shifts palette to match tone rather than sticking to one brand color rigidly. The deep burgundy floral promo tile feels intimate and moody for the Valentine's hook. The grayscale "Girl and a Serious Dream" post feels aspirational and soft-focus, almost like a fragrance ad. The navy starfield piece with the black lace teddy goes nocturnal and a bit dangerous. The pink-to-white gradient "Beauty Next Door" leans playful and approachable. Rotating through these moods across one grid keeps the account from feeling one-note while the shape system holds it all together.

Typography doing double duty
Bold, tight-tracked headlines like "ADDICTION" and "Beauty Next Door" are doing the emotional heavy lifting, while small caps micro-copy (PROMO CODE, PRESENTS, GIRL AND A SERIOUS DREAM) acts almost like stage direction, giving each post a narrative frame rather than just a product callout.

Social impact goals

  1. Scroll-stopping through pattern interruption. The triangle and diamond cutouts break the expected rectangle-crop of a feed image, which increases the visual pause time, the first metric that matters before any click or save happens.

  2. Save and share behavior over immediate click-through. The aesthetic is designed to feel more like a mood board than an ad, which is what gets saved to inspiration folders and shared to close friends rather than scrolled past. That indirect reach matters more for a challenger intimates brand than direct response alone.

  3. Promo code as a soft CTA, not a hard sell. VD20 is present but small, tucked into the design rather than shouting. The bet is that a desire-first, brand-first feed builds enough affinity that the code becomes a secondary discovery, which tends to convert better with a demographic that is fatigued by discount-forward ads.

  4. Cohesion for a scroll-through, not just single posts. Because the shape system repeats, the campaign is built to be judged as a grid, not a single image. That's a deliberate bet that Lure's audience is browsing the profile before following, so the full page needs to read as a considered aesthetic, not a series of disconnected promos.
